The Caribu Wool Horse Rug & Hood set is made from a quality genuine 425gsm 80% Kersey Wool blend.

You will be hard pushed to find a warmer, more versatile stable horse rug. Wool is a natural fiber and has fantastic insulation and breathability properties.

The separate horse rug & hood offers the convenience of mix and matching, using the hood* only when needed. The hoods feature enclosed ears and the poll/throat strap to help reduce the risk of the hood moving.

Featuring shoulder gussets, double chest fittings for extra security, rump darts, adjustable/removable leg straps and double cross over surcingles. Our wool rugs also also include binding along the back line for added strength.

Caribu Wool Horse Rugs Feature:

• Quality 425gsm Kersey Wool - 80% Genuine Wool Blend
• Shoulder Gussets for freedom of movement
• Double chest fittings for extra security
• Rump darts
• Adjustable/removable leg straps
• Dual Tone Double cross over belly surcingles
• 2 x Hood rings for hood attachment
• Internal lining in the chest to help alleviate rubbing

Caribu Wool Horse Hoods Feature:

• Quality 425Gsm Kersey Wool - 80% Genuine Wool Blend
• Internal lining in the mane strip to help alleviate rubbing
• 3 x Reinforced Neck Buckles
• Enclosed Ears (can be permanently removed)
• Hood Poll Strap*
• 2 Removable Hood elastics

Colour: Blue Checker

Don't like Enclosed Ears? With this design the ears are attached & bound in such a way that if you prefer to use the hood permanently without ears - they can be cut off down low and the ear hole will still remain bound and prevent fraying.

*Horses are unpredictable animals and there is always a risk of a horse dislodging a hood from scratching, snagging or other mischief and then panicking if their vision is effected. When using hoods on horses you need to consider the horses temperament, location to other horses, environment and their overall suitability for wearing hoods. We recommend only using hoods in safe environments where the horse can be regularly supervised at all times. Please read our detailed user guide on using hoods and masks, things you need to consider, as well as information on correct adjustment of poll straps on this link
