Our Hybrid neck combo horse rugs combine the best aspects of both a polycotton rug and mesh all in one rug.

This is a fantastic alternative to an all mesh or ripstop Combo and can be used year round. The Mesh inserts in the neck and skirts allow extra airflow, keeping your horse protected from the harsh Australian sun & insects while still keeping them cool on those warmer days.

Featuring our 300gsm Diamond Weave PolyCotton ripstop which is strong, but still breathable and cool. The tear/ripstop threads give the Caribu Hybrid Combo Horse Rug strength and durability.

How are our Hybrid Horse Rugs different?

Apart from the fact that we use a high end Diamond weave Ripstop fabric, we also use our strong and durable 270gsm Euro Breeze mesh in the neckline and skirts.

Feature Packed:
• Dual Ripstop Diamond Weave Ripstop made from quality breathable 300gsm PolyCotton blend
• Soft Euro-Breeze Mesh inserts - 270gsm
• Mesh UV stabilized rating of more than 80% protection
• Full Wrap Tent Tail Flap (Mare Friendly)
• Belly Surcingles
• Reinforced dual chest straps
• 3 x Neck Buckles
• Shoulder Gussets for freedom of movement
• Rump darts, for a snug fit
• Adjustable & removable leg straps
• Fleece padding to protect the wither
• Night reflectors
• Internal lining in the shoulders & mane to help alleviate rubbing

Please refer to our Rug Sizing Guide for a guide to sizing your horse .

Binding Colours: We are continually changing binding and thread colours to match the mesh colours and as such binding colours can vary from the images shown. If you have any concerns please contact us before ordering.

Rug Options (Must attach your self).

Excellent rug, we have standardbreds who are very hard on rugs, always rip them and break the buckles, these rugs have lasted the whole year, summer and under a rug in winter, the buckles are all still in perfect condition, not one rip, not even in the mesh. I am very impressed, because I have never been able to buy a rug and not have them rip it within in a couple of months, certainly has saved me on repair bills. Thanks
  • Reviewer: Pru Ensby
Very Impressed. thanks for the big savings as our horses are very hard on rugs and these are standing up to them.excellant product
  • Reviewer: Amy
I would love to see an attached hood version of these, as on the 40 degrees days my horses get hot [understandably] under the full Polycotton rugs - however if you take them off they will rub themselves out!
  • Reviewer: Shelley
I love these rugs - the fit is not only great but the mesh is tough unlike other brands on the market & the breathe. I have the rug ripper horse & she has managed just one major rip (mind you she got stuck & pulled) and though that was the end of the rug as on the mesh, but my rug repairer fixed it as she told we it wsa such strong material she could actually stitch on the mesh !! totally recommend - NO SURCINGLES as that is what I like about this rug as you can also use as an underug without the poor pony getting messed up in 2 sets of surcingles !
  • Reviewer: Deb
Hi Jane & the Caribu Team,I just wanted to say a massive thank you for my
two hybrid rugs - they are just beautiful! Lovely
& light, so soft and they are a perfect fit for my
two girls. I'm absolutely thrilled, and I was
delighted with the superfast delivery. I can't
speak highly enough of your excellent service &
product & I will definitely be recommending your
business to my friends. I need winter rugs too
this year ... I think I know where I'll be getting
    them!!

Thanks again, I'm really grateful to you :)

  • Reviewer: Blythe
This is a great rug, it's evident that a lot of thought went into the design. It's proving to be versatile as an underrug too, and I'm impressed how it's standing up to what my horse finds to drag it through! I've recommended this rug and your site to all my horsey contacts. Keep up the good work, service and products :) Thanks heaps.
  • Reviewer: RW
Really nice rug, great for summer, only thing is I would like to see this rug with cross belly surcingles!
  • Reviewer: Sonia B
Fantastic delivery as usual. Love these rugs, both fit my horses perfectly and they look so pretty lol!! Can't comment on how tough they are as they have only had them on one day but if they are like all the other rugs I have bought from you guys they will be around for a long time.
  • Reviewer: Evie
Great rug! Love the quality and the great fit. Thank you.
  • Reviewer: Samantha Gard
Best rug ever. The ONLY cotton that doesn't rub the shoulders, has 2 buckles on chest not just 1 like most other mesh combos. Durable, great price, great fit - a real winner!
  • Reviewer: Emily
These rugs are amazing for the summer time. They keep the insects off them and keep them nice and cool at the same time :)
  • Reviewer: Ali
Such a great rug and I've only had it for less than a day. Very smart and high quality make. Great delivery, received in less than 24 hours. Did ask to leave at the door but really I think I was just a little excited! Thank you Caribu!!
  • Reviewer: Emily R
These rugs look even better in real life. Excellent quality and very fast delivery. Also very generous sizes. I would highly recommend this product.
  • Reviewer: Ray Williams
    Excellent Rug
  • Reviewer: Michele
a really good fit and good length on the neck section which is so often lacking in combos. The mesh is lovely and soft so non abrasive. I'm so glad it has good clips on the leg straps too as a lot of rugs these days have those little ones that real after a short time. Very happy with my first Caribu rug purchase!
  • Reviewer: Kerry
Love these rugs. Great for the warmer weather when a cotton is just too warm. The mesh panels are strong yet soft and keep my horse much cooler. Great quality and they wash up perfectly every time. Good quality buckles and fittings - one of my all time favourites.
  • Reviewer: Shony
This rug is everything that is said in the advertisements. Absolutely thrilled with the product and I'm sure my horse feels the same.
  • Reviewer: chris mulcahy
just wish you guys would make these in mini sizes. we live in midge city and the other rugs are just too hot for 30+ degree days.
  • Reviewer: Michael
