Payment Methods

We accepts a variety of different payment methods including:

  • Credit cards (via Payment Express/CBA)
  • Pay Pal
  • Afterpay (more details below)
  • Phone Ordering (1300 139989). Order online and select 'Phone ordering' as your payment method. The web site will generate an invoice for you and you can then call us to arrange payment over the phone.

What is Afterpay?

Afterpay is a bit like lay-by, but you get to take home your purchases before you’ve finished paying for them. It’s a payment option you’ll see at many of your favourite online stores (some instore too). If you select to pay with Afterpay, your purchases will be posted to you as normal but you get eight weeks to pay off the total purchase price.

What makes Afterpay great is that it’s all automatic. Once you make an account, all the payments will be deducted from your credit card or bank account on a nominated day. They will send you text messages before they withdraw the funds, and unlike a credit card, you don’t have to worry about making payments, Afterpay does it all for you automatically. Do I pay more if I use Afterpay?

No! There is no interest or added fees to use this service. The only potential additional charges come from failing to make a payment. You get several text messages before a payment is withdrawn, but if by some chance you miss them and there isn’t enough money in your account to cover the payment, Afterpay may charge you a fee. Once the payment bounces, Afterpay will send you a reminder and you will have 24 hours to log into your Afterpay account and make the payment. If you don’t, you’ll be charged a late fee. If you still haven’t made the payment after another 7 days, then you’ll be charged another late fee. Please see Afterpay Terms & Conditions for further information about late fees.

Is there a minimum order value?

Minimum order value $100

Is there a maximum order value?

Maximum order value $1000. You don’t have to make an immediate payment, and the payments will be automatically deducted in four equal amounts every two weeks. If this is the first time you’re using it, you’ll be required to make one of the four payments immediately and then one every two weeks after.

Is there a limit to how much you can spend with Afterpay?

Your limit depends on whether you have linked your Afterpay account to a debit card or credit card. If you linked your account to a debit card, then you can’t have more than $500 outstanding or your next purchase won’t go through. If you have a credit card linked to your account, then your limit is up to $1500.

If you’ve linked your account to a debit card but want to access the higher limit, you can always switch your account and link it to a credit card.

How many orders can I have on the go at any one time?

This will depend on Afterpay, as they use a real time approval process.

Who can use Afterpay?

At this stage Afterpay is only available to Australian customers over 18 years of age who have an Australian debit or credit card.

I ordered something using Afterpay but I need to return it, what do I do?

No problems! Just fill in a return form on our website and send it back to us just like you usually do. We are unable to offer store credit so you will receive a refund. Afterpay will look after this for us and the refund will go back to the card you have registered with them.

I want to pay my order off sooner, can I do this?

Yes! You can pay your order off early if you would like. You will need to contact Afterpay directly to arrange this.

How do I know if an item is in stock?

Unlike our competitors, we manufacture and distribute our own products. If an item or size is not in our warehouse, then its not available for sale on our web site.

Can I Pre-order out of stock items?

At times we might sell out of a size or product range. Once we have a firm restocking date (usually about 10-14days before hand), we make these items available for pre-purchase on our web site with a defined availability date. If you order both in stock and out of stock items in the same order - we will hold your order aside and send the entire order together when your out of stock items arrive.

If you require in-stock items to be dispatched immediately, you will need to place two orders, one for in-stock items, & one for items on pre-order to be sent later.

How can I order?

To order with Caribu Horse Wear is so easy. Simply use the category headings to locate the products you are after or use the search function located at the top of each page. When you find an item you are interested in, click on 'Buy Now' or 'See Details' which will take you to the detailed product information page. The detailed product information page provides more information on the product and allows you choose various options for the product such as size and colour where applicable.

The price displayed below the item will change according to the option/s selected. When you have selected the appropriate options, simply select the quantity you wish to purchase and then click on 'Add to Cart'. You can view the contents of your shopping cart at anytime by clicking 'View Cart'. (Top right hand corner)

You are able to update quantities and delete items whilst viewing your cart.

How to complete an order via the checkout

When you are finished shopping with us, simply click on 'Checkout' in the 'Your Cart' area located at the top right hand side of any page. You will then be guided through the checkout and payment process. You can cancel or change your order at any time prior to submitting your payment information. Total costs, including postage is displayed prior to any payment information being submitted to Caribu Horse Wear.

What measures do you use to keep my credit card details secure?

Caribu Horse Wear uses the National Australia Bank NAB Transact for its online credit card transactions. NAB Transact eCommerce processes online credit card transactions for thousands of Australian merchants, providing the highest level of safety available and is the most secure means of collecting payments via the Internet. We have two levels of security in place:

Firstly, we employ 128bit SSL encryption is used for your ordering and payment processing. The information passed during the ordering process is your contact details, the address you would like products delivered to and which products you are ordering. All this information is encrypted using SSL.

Secondly, our credit card payments are processed via the National Bank NAB Transact system which uses all the latest encryption and security measures. Your card details are passed securely from your browser/computer, securely via a encoded means using a 'Fingerprint', (which insures the transmission can not be tampered with) directly to Nab Transact. This means your card details are not stored or processed through our server, ISP or Hosting Service provider. Your payment connection occurs only between you and NAB Transact. We are simply informed by NAB Transact that payment was successful. This means that we do not see and do not store any credit card information, nor can it be intercepted.
