Caribu Eclipse Hybrid 1200D Waterproof Combo Rug with Mesh Skirts (No Fill)
The Caribu Eclipse Hybrid Horse rug is our all new waterproof combo design. This combo is identical to our Eclipse Rainsheet combos - except this all new design features strong fly mesh skirts for improved airflow.
The Caribu Hybrid offers the best of both worlds - a waterproof upper, neck & chest - to keep the top half of your horse dry - and mesh skirts to allow good airflow. The mesh skirts are very effective in humid environments. Please note that this design, while allowing better airflow and tolerance to warmer weather and humidity, doesn't mean you can leave this rug on in warm weather. You will still need to remove when the temperature climbs - like any other turnout. As the skirts are mesh - water can enter along the skirts, but the top half of your horse will remain dry.
Made from strong waterproof 1200 Denier with built in Ripstop. This Combo Horse rug incorporates a soft can-can mesh lining (No fill) with Anti-Rub lining in the mane, shoulders and skirts. The can-can mesh creates a breathing space between the rug and your horses coat.

What sets this combo apart from others?
We use an advanced 1200 Denier fabric with polymers. The hi-tech manufacturing process insures that the denier fabric works to keep water out - but allows the humid/moist air to escape out through the material keeping your horse - dry but allows sweat and moisture to breath out to eliminate chills. We also use a can-can mesh lining which significantly increases breathability and comfort - and is far superior to other linings on the market. 1200D offers superior strength compared to a 600D, but with the same Breathability and insulation.
All Caribu Synthetic Rugs and Combos are rated to a waterproof rating of at least 3000MM - more than twice the minimum requirements. Our Synthetic Rugs have a breath ability rating of at least 3000gr/m2/per24hrs - so you can rest assured that your horse will be snug in the worst of weather. Additionally all our 1200 Denier fabrics incorporate a Ripstop design into the fabric. You will notice we use a continuous run of fabric in the neck and body of the combo - no joins or seams in the neck line or back area to let water in!

Which Denier do I need? 600D or 1200D? At Caribu we only produce 1200Denier Rugs. 1200 Denier uses double the thread weave over a 600D fabric. 1200D offers far superior strength and durability and will far outlast a 600D rug. Their is very little difference in Breathability, insulation or weight - what you do get is the added strength & life..
