Adjust a Saddle- If your horse changes body condition during the year, check that the saddle fits comfortably.
An increase in condition in spring may allow the saddle to roll or move excessively, causing the skin to move or ripple behind the elbow at the girth, resulting in a girth gall.
If a horse loses condition during winter, the saddle and padding may need to be adjusted to prevent it rubbing the withers and back.
