Caribu 'Deluxe' 360gsm Wool Rug & Hood Set

The Caribu Woolen Rug & Hood is a luxurious woolen horse rug set, offering the convenience of mix and matching, using the hood only when needed. The hoods feature enclosed ears and the poll/throat strap is an added safety feature to reduce the risk of the hood moving.

These are - they cant be beaten for that winter insulation or durability. Constructed from a quality genuine 80% Kersey Wool blend, you will be hard pushed to find a warmer more durable under rug.

Wool is a natural fibre and has fantastic insulation and breathability properties. Featuring shoulder gussets, double chest fittings for extra security, rump darts, adjustable/removable leg straps and double cross over surcingles. Our wool rugs also also include binding along the back line for added strength.

We use a slightly shorter drop (approx 5cm) compared to our Synthetic and Canvas Turnout combos. This means when used as an under rug, these woolen combos will be protected from the elements and not hanging out below the skirt of your outer combo.

This seasons rugs now include reinforced belly surcingles with cross body binding - for long life.

Don't like Enclosed Ears? With this design the ears are attached & binded in such a way that if you prefer to use the hood permanently without ears - they can be cut off down low and the ear hole will still remain binded and prevent fraying.
